Outer shelf
Depth of water
Storm wave base - Shelf edge (60 - 140 m)
Circumstances
No erosional influences of waves. Muddy sediments with very strong bioturbation deposit without any influences of waves even under storm weather. Sands from inner shelf rarely deposit. No sedimental structures by waves are observed.
Sedimentary facies (Sediments)
Massive silt with very strong bioturbation.
Sedimentary facies (Structures)
None.
Facies fossils
Trace fossils.
