Field of view: 2 mm. Hematite associated with rhodonite. The tabular black crystals are hematite. The surrounding pink host is massive aggregate of rhodonite.
Recovered from a bedded manganese deposit subjected to Epidote-Amphibolite facies regional metamorphism and contact metamorphism by granite.
Hematite from this location was described in 1975.
