Field of view: 2 0mm. Neotocite associated with rhodonite. The translucent brown parts with a vitreous luster are aggregate of fine neotocite crystals. The massive pink parts around neotocite are aggregate of fine rhodonite crystals. The massive opaque brown part at the right is aggregate of fine hausmannite crystals. The massive grayish-green part at the lower right in hausmannite is aggregate of fine tephroite crystals. The massive pale brown parts associated with rhodonite and hausmannite are aggregate of fine rhodochrosite crystals. The opaque white part at the upper left is the host chert.
Recovered from a chert-hosted bedded manganese deposit subjected to Albite-Epidote-hornfels contact metamorphism.
