Field of view: 30 mm. Neotocite associated with rhodonite. The brown part with a vitreous luster at the left is aggregate of fine neotocite crystals. The pink part at the right is aggregate of fine rhodonite crystals.
Recovered from a bedded manganese deposit subjected to Epidote-Amphibolite facies regional metamorphism and contact metamorphism by granite.
Neotocite from this location was described in 1969 as Penwithite.
