This locality is closed to collectors.
Length of the crystal: 10 mm. A crystal of topaz. The prism has striations parallel to the prism elongation. The flat faces at the left and at the right are the cleavage face vertical to the prism.
Recovered from a pocket of a Topaz-NYF pegmatite associated with S-type (Ilmenite-series) granite. Formed in the Late Cretaceous (67 Ma).
Topaz from this location was described in 1885.
