Crystal size: 5 mm. Floaters of pyrite. The samples at the top and at the lower left are twins of pyrite crystals. The sample at the lower right is a octahedral pyrite crystal composed of (111) faces.
Recovered from a sericitization alteration zone associated with a caldera complex. Formed in the middle Miocene (14 Ma),
Pyrite from this location was described in 1895.
