Source for Molybdenum

Field of view: 10 mm. Molybdenite assocaited with rhodonite. The tabular silver crystals are molybdenite. The surrounding pale pink host is aggregate of rhodonite and minor amount of quartz.
Recovered from a bedded manganese deposit in pelitic schist subjected to Amphibolite facies regional metamorphism and contact metamorphism by granodiorite.
Molybdenite from this location was described in 1960.
