Linarite
Araya, Aga city, Higashi-Kambara county, Niigata pref., Japan
Field of view: 5 mm. Linarite associated with brochantite. The radial group of blue prisms is linarite. The green parts are brochantite. The brown host is gangue quartz partly encrusted with limonite.
Recovered from an open space of a quartz vein in a meteoric oxidation zone of a moderate-temperature hydrothermal deposit associated with rhyolite.
Linarite from this location was described in 1999.
