Field of view: 5 mm. Tabular brochantite The fine green tabular crystals are brochantite. Tabular crystals are repeated twins by acicular crystals. The brown basement is mudstone.
Recovered from a meteoric oxidation zone of a sediment-hosted Cu deposit subjected to Prehnite-Pumpellyite facies metamorphism.
Brochantite from this location was described in 1982.
