Source for copper
Field of view: 5 mm. A brochantite crust. The reniform green crust is brochantite. The white host is recrystallized limestone encrusted with limonite.
Recovered from a meteoric oxidation zone of a pneumatolytic deposit combined with skarn formed by contact metamorphism of I-type (Magnetite-series) granite.
Brochantite from this location was described in 1901.
