Field of view: 30 mm. Euhedral crystals of almandine. The dodecahedral red grains are almandine. The green host is metamorphic rock mainly composed of amphibole.
Recovered from a matamorphic rock, a tectonic block in Oeyama Ophiolite.
Garnet from this location was described in 1933.
