Overview
A sedimentary system composed of a series of characteristic sedimentary facies on the seafloors where strong tides are passing. Representative examples are southern Africa, North Sea, English Channel, Seto Inland Sea (Japan), Bungo Channel (Japan), and Tsugaru Strait (Japan). Approximately 17 % of modern seashores are tide-dominated shelf.
