Field of view: 10 mm. A cleaved fragment of muscovite. The flat face is a face parallel to the basal (001) plane of muscovite.
Recovered from a beryl-columbite subtype rare-element pegmatite in S-type (Ilumenite-series) granite. Formed in the middle Paleocene (60 Ma).
Muscovite from this location was described in 1900.
