Source for manganese
Field of view: 20 mm. Massive aggregate of manganosite. The green parts are manganosite. Surrounding massive brown parts are aggregate of fine crystals of hausmannite. The white veinlets at the left are rhodochrosite, and the pink band is rhodonite.
Recovered from a chert-hosted bedded manganese deposit subjected to Albite-Epidote-hornfels contact metamorphism.
