Field of view: 5 mm. Clinothulite in garnet skarn. The pink veins are clinothulite. The massive grayish-green host is aggregate of grossular crystals.
Recovered from skarn formed by contact metamorphism of the I-type (Magnetite-series) granite. Formed in the early Paleocene (65 Ma).
Clinothulite from this location was described in 1996.
