Field of view: 10 mm. A chalcopyrite crust. The yellow crust is chalcopyrite. The red to white basement is aggregate of fine hematite and quartz crystals, and the red parts are rich in hematite.
Recovered from a mudstone-hosted Cu-Mn deposit subjected to Zeolite facies metamorphism. Formed in the late Miocene (11 Ma).
