Albite

Length of the left specimen: 10 mm. Crystals of albite. The left specimen is a group of platy albite crystals. The lower left part with a vitreous luster is a thin crust of topaz. The massive pale blue part of the right specimen is albite. The pale yellow micaceous crystals are muscovite.
Recovered from a pocket of a Topaz-NYF pegmatite associated with S-type (Ilmenite-series) granite. Formed in the late Cretaceous (67 Ma).
Albite from this location was described in 1904.
