Albite

Field of view: 30 mm. Albite crystals. The white prismatic crystals are albite.
Recovered from an open space of an albite vein in gabbro subjected to Pumpellyite-Actinolite facies metamorphism. Formed in the late Cretaceous (100 Ma).
Albite from this location was described in 1937.
