Tillandsia (Viridantha) tortilis Klotzsch ex Baker (1887)

[ Etymology ] tortilis in Latin (twisted)

It produces offsets at the bottom of the plant not only during the flowering period.
It resembles Tillandsia lepidosepala but the scape is longer and the flower spike is narrower.
Leaves of Tillandsia curvifolia curved in a directio, whereas those of Tillandsia tortilis expands all direction.
