Tillandsia karwinskyana
Tillandsia karwinskyana Schultes f. (1830)
- [ Etymology ] Wilhelm Friedrich von Karwinsky (1780 - 1855), botanist, who collected the first specimen of this species
- It resembles Tillandsia fresnilloensis. Tillandsia karwinskyana is larger and distributes in the eastern side of the central Mexico. On the other hand, Tillandsia fresnilloensis is smaller and distributes in the western side of the central Mexico.
- It resembles Tillandsia pringlei but flowers of Tillandsia pringlei are white.
