Wiserite

Field of view: 5 mm. Wiserite associated with hausmannnite. The columnar group of yellowish-brown fibers is wiserite. The massive dark brown basement underlying wiserite is aggregate of fine hausmannnite crystals.
Recovered from a chert-hosted bedded manganese deposit subjected to weak Prehnite-Pumpellyite to Zeolite facies metamorphism.
Wiserite from this location was described in 1980.
