Tetrahedrite

Field of view: 5 mm. Tetrahedrite associated with tephroite. The small shinin triangle is a tetrahedral crystal of tetrahedrite. The surrounding massive grayish-brown host is aggregate of fine tephroite crystals.

Recovered from a chert-hosted bedded manganese deposit subjected to Albite-Epidote-hornfels facies contact metamorphism.

Tetrahedrite from this location was described in 1980.
