Field of view: 3 mm. Mesolite associated with Stilbite. The white fibers are mesolite. The transparent grains at the basement are stilbite. The brown fibers are glass roots.
Recovered from an open space of a stilbite vein in basalt erupted from a submarine volcano. Formed in the early Miocene (16 Ma).
Mesolite from this location was described in 1962.
