Field of view: 20 mm. Dispatched augite phenocrysts of andesite.
Recovered from weathered part of Tararayama Andesite of Hijiriyama Volcanics erupted from a submarine volcano. Formed in the late Miocene (5.4 Ma).
Augite from this location was described in 1917.
