Circumstances

Sediments at the inside of the curves of mindered fluvial channels. The channel-side region of the point bar is subjected to the strong fluvial currents and coarse sediments deposit, whereas the other side region of the point bar is subjected to the weak fluvial currents and fine sediments deposit. Erosion is dominant at the outer part of the curves. The point bars moves toward the outside of the curves along with the progress of mindering. As the result, The bottom of point bar sediments are coarse and become fine upwards.

Sands with fine gravels are at the bottom, and it becomes fine upwards to fine sands. Mud crusts are observed.
