The blooming period is 4 - 5 days in July. Purple tube flowers with 3 petals whose tips are reflexed outside and bases are white. 6 stamens and a white pistil are sticked out of petals. A flower blooms for only a day and withers in the evening. Flowers tend to bloom from the bottom side of the inflorescence. There is a very short inflorescence, whereas T. brachycaulos blooms without an inflorescence. Some flower bracts have 2 flowers which do not bloom at the same time. 12 flowers bloomed in 2017: 2 flowers bloomed on the first day, 3 flowers on the second day, 5 flowers on the third day, and 2 flowers on the 4th day. 12 flowers bloomed in 2018: a flower bloomed on the first day, 3 flowers on the second day, 4 flowers on the third day, a flower on the 4th day, and 3 flowers on the 5th day.
