Field of view: 30 mm. Pyrrhotite associated with rhodochrosite. The massive yellow parts with a metallic luster are pyrrhotite. The surrounding massive pink parts are rhodochrosite.
Recovered from a bedded manganese deposit in pelitic schist subjected to Amphibolite facies regional metamorphism and contact metamorphism by granodiorite.
Pyrrhotite from this location was described in 1960.
