Field of view: 50 mm. Pyrrhotite associated with serpentinite. The massive dark yellow parts are coarse crystals of pyrrhotite. The white parts are calcite. The black surface at the left is due to weathering. Fresh silver surface of pyrrhotite turned dull brown in a few days.
Recovered from a Fe-Ni deposit in serpentinitized harzburgite, a part of an opholite.
