Field of view: 2 mm. Pyrargyrite or proustite associated with acanthite. The red grains are pyrargyrite or proustite. The surrounding transparent basement is gangue quartz. The black to brown parts are limonite crusts.
Recovered from a quartz vein in a meteoric oxidation zone of a hydrothermal Au-Ag deposit associated with andesitic-dacitic tuff breccia, eruption products of a submarine caldera.
