Marialite

Field of view: 30 mm. Prismatic crystals of marialite. The quadrangular white prisms are marialite, and a part of crystals is meionite. The massive dark brown basement is hedenbergite.
Recovered from skarn formed by contact metamorphism of S-type (Ilmenite-series) diorite. Formed in the late Miocene (11 Ma).
Marialite from this location was described as scapolite in 1941.
