Field of view: 10mm. Mangano-cummingtonite associated with rhodonite. The pale brown prism exhibiting perfect cleavage along the prism is mangano-cummingtonite. The surrounding pale pink host is aggregate of rhodonite and quartz.
Recovered from a bedded manganese deposit in pelitic schist subjected to Amphibolite facies regional metamorphism and contact metamorphism by granodiorite.
Manganocummingtonite from this location was described in 1962.
