Field of view: 30 mm. Graphite associated with gneiss of Amo Formation in Hida Metamorphic Rocks. The black parts with a metallic luster are graphite. The white grains are feldspar and quartz.
Recovered from gneiss formed by Granulite facies medium-P regional metamorphism.
Graphite from this location was described in 1897.
