Dravite
Otaki, Chichibu city, Saitama pref., Japan

Field of view: 1 mm. Dravite perched on quartz. The plumose yellow crystals are dravite. The transparent prisms are crystals of gangue quartz.
Recovered from an open space of a quartz vein in skarn formed by contact metamorphism of I-type (Magnetite-series) quartz diorite. Formed in the late Miocene (6 Ma).
