Field of view: 5 mm. Cristobalite associated with obsidian. The pink spherules are radial aggregates of cristobalite. The black to white host is obsidian.
Recovered from obsidian associated with a rhyolite lava of Inagodake Lavas. Formed in Middle Pleistocene (0.3 Ma).
