Clinochlore

Field of view: 5 mm. Clinochlore crystals at the boundary between pectolite and serpentinite. The grayish-green grains are clinochlore. The white part at the top is aggregate of fine acicular pectolite. The massive dark green part at the bottom is the host serpentinite.
Recovered from serpentinite subjected to Greenschist facies metamorphism.
Clinochlore from this location was described in 1976.
