Source for Mercury
Field of view: 10 mm. Cinnabar crusts. The red crusts are cinnabar. The white basement underlying cinnabar is quartz. The massive black parts at the lower right and the lower left are aggregate of fine braunite crystals. Recovered from a quartz vein in a chert-hosted bedded manganese deposit subjected to Pumpellyite-Actinolite facies metamorphism.
Cinnabar from this location was described in 1981.
