Cerussite
Araya, Aga city, Higashi-Kambara county, Niigata pref., Japan
Field of view: 5 mm. Cerussite on the surface of galena. The prismatic white crystals are cerussite forming a penetration twin. The pale brown basement is a anglesite crust on galena.
Recovered from a meteoric oxidation zone of a moderate-temperature hydrothermal deposit associated with rhyolite.
Cerussite from this location was described in 1933.
