Source for Beryllium
Field of view: 30 mm. A single crystal of Cs-bearing beryl. The pale green prism on the front of the specimen is beryl. The white host at the upper right is albite.
Recovered from a spodumene subtype rare-element pegmatite in S-type (Ilmenite-series) granite. Formed in the Late Cretaceous (100 Ma).
Beryl from this location was described in 1973.
