Field of view: 2 mm. Bertrandite associated with beryl. The transparent grains at the center are bertrandite. The transparent basement is a single crystal of beryl. The bertrandite crystals are in dissolved spaces of single crystals of beryl.
Recovered from a beryl-columbite subtype rare-element pegmatite subjected to low-temperature hydrotheramal alteration in S-type (Ilumenite-series) granite.
