Oxidation zone of serpentinite
Oxidation zone of serpentinite of Shurei Igneous Rocks, Mikabu Unit. Various hydrocarbonate minerals were formed by oxidation by meteoric water.

Outcrop of serpentinite of Shurei Igneous Rocks. The grayish-green outcrop is composed of serpentinite. The white crusts on the surface of serpentinite at the lower left are hydromagnesite.
