Occurrence
Meteoric oxidation zone of moderate-T hydrothermal deposit
Oxidation zone of the moderate temperature hydrothermal deposit in basalt, meta-gabbro and diorite of Katashina Belt, a member of Joetsu Belt.
Outcrop of meta-gabbro in Katashina Belt. There are veins of oxidation zone of the moderate temperature hydrothermal deposit. Grayish white parts are meta- gabbro, and brown parts are thin limonite coating produced by weathering.
