Occurence
Fossils recovered from middle Miocene Godo Formation and Negishi Formation. Godo Formation unconformably overlies middle Miocene Arakawa Formation. Epsomite are on the surface of tuff beds in Shogunzawa Formation. Shogunzawa Formation was mined as cement sources at Kuzubukuro. Negishi Formation is cropped out on the ground surface of the quarry, and Godo Formation distributes approximately 1 m below the surface.
