June 18th, 2006
The blooming period is a month between June and August. Purple flowers with 3 petals whose tips are reflexed outside. 6 stamens and a pistil are slightly sticked out of petals. The inflorescence is red and divided into 3 branches. A flower blooms only for a day. Flowers bloom from the bottom side of the inflorescence at intervals of 3 days. It looks like T. belloensis but there are differences as follows: Bracts of the inflorescence erects upward, not pendulous; The lower part of the flower spikes is not covered by bracts so much.
