Tillandsia (Anoplophytum) lorentziana Grisebach (1874)
- [ Etymology ] Paul (Pablo) Günther Lorentz (1835 - 1881), botanist, who collected the first specimen of this species
- It resembles Tillandsia uruguayensis but its basal floral bracts are shorter.
- It resembles Tillandsia boliviensis, but the inflorescence is erect and the spike is flat.
- It resembles Tillandsia chiletensis, but the bract is red and the flower is smaller.
- A plant similar to Tillandsia lorentziana is sold under the name of Tillandsia balsasensis.
