Left: Tillandsia lepidosepala, Right: Tillandsia tortilis. Foliages of these 2 species are very similar but those inflorescences are clearly different. Leaves of Tillandsia tortilis are more straight than those of Tillandsia lepidosepala. Tillandsia tortilis tends to produce offsets at the base of the foliage all the time.
