Tillandsia cultivation troubles

Too much water

Watering too much is not good neither. Leaves without trichomes "tank type" is necessary to keep water in the base of their leaves, but water should be fresh and temperature should be ambient. Rot water and/or high temperature causes to rot the plant. Leaves which are rich in trichomes will be rotted without drying for a while in a day. Misunderstanding that tillandsia always needs humidity, some guys put plants upon a bowl with water in it, and their plants rotted.
