• Lithofacies (Lower): Dacite welded tuff, Sandstone, Conglomerate, Mudstone
• Sedimentary structures: Eutaxitic structure

• Thickness: ca. 1,100 m or thicker
• Upper limit: Kawai Formation, Kuri Formation

• Distribution: Satsume - Kagadani - Okutagi - Kubota - Toyota - Takatsuya - Yawatabara, Izumo city, Shimane pref.
