Coherent formation
Fluvio-lacustrine basin including Lake Tokai
Pliocene - Pleistocene

Sedimentary facies: Fluvial, Lacustrine
Lithofacies: Sands, Gravels
Lithofacies (Minor): Clay, Silt, Lignite
Sedimentary structures: Upward fining

Thickness: ca. 15 - 80 m
Upper limit: Top of gravel-bearing sand bed under the Ko Tephra
Upper limit: Transitional (Tokoname Formation)
Lower limit: Unconformity (Utsumi Formation)
