Vuagnatite

Field of view: 10 mm. Vuagnatite associated with pectolite. The transparent grains with a vitreous luster are vuagnatite. The surrounding opaque white parts are pectolite. The dark green part at the bottom is the host serpentinite.
Recovered from an open space of a pectolite vein in serpentinite subjected to Greenschist facies metamorphism.
The first vuagnatite from Japan was reported from this location in 1977.
