Rosasite

Field of view: 5 mm. Radial rosasite. The bluish-green globules and the radial groups of acicular bluish-green crystals are rosasite. The pale gray basement with a vitreous luster is gangue quartz. The light brown parts are crusts of powdery limonite.
Recovered from an open space of a quartz vein in a meteoric oxidation zone of a moderate-temperature hydrothermal deposit combined with skarn formed by contact metamorphism of I-type (magnetite-series) quartz porphyry.
